Sofia has awarded Chistota Iskar in-house orders for nearly BGN 13 million Fifteen contracts without a tender for a total of BGN 12.8 million have been received from Sofia by the municipal Sofecostroy (formerly Chistota Iskar) since the summer of 2020. The largest of them - for the maintenance of parks and green areas to the transport routes, is for BGN 6 million, and the contract was signed this June. The same activities were assigned in 2020, but then for BGN 4.2 million. And if you are wondering what a municipal garbage collection company (before and with subcontracting contracts) has to do with greenery in the city, the answer is in the reform , which the municipal councilors adopted at the beginning of this year at the suggestion of GERB. Then "Chistota Iskar" cleared its image with the change of its name and entered the construction and became responsible for the maintenance of parks, green areas, riverbeds, afforestation. The formal motive for the change in the company was the modernization and increase of its competitiveness, but behind these intentions immediately became clear the suspicion of a hidden redistribution of millions, which Sofia invests in infrastructure projects every year.
