Emilian Andreev is the winner of the first-ever National Competition in Finance and Investments Emilian Andreev (student at Sofia University "St. Cl. Ohridski"), Kaloyan Zhelev (student at the University of National and World Economy) and Veselin Marinov (student at the University of Bologna) are the finalists who won the first three places and the awards during the National Competition in Finance and Investments. The competition was organized by the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) and supported by the Financial Supervision Commission, the Bulgarian Association of Management Companies and the Bulgarian Association of Licensed Investment Intermediaries. The competition was hosted by the University of National and World Economy (UNWE). Dozens of students from all economic universities in the country participated in the competition, demonstrating in-depth knowledge, analytical thinking and practical skills in the field of financial markets and investments. The official opening was made by the Executive Director of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange - Assoc. Prof. Dr. Manyu Moravenov and the Rector of the University of National and World Economy - Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov, in the presence of the Vice-Rector of the University of National and World Economy, Prof. Dr. Tsvetana Stoyanova. “This competition builds on the financial literacy and investment culture of young people. The capital market is a dynamic and highly competitive environment that requires knowledge, discipline and responsibility. You are the future ambassadors of the Bulgarian capital market - as investors, analysts or consultants,” Assoc. Prof. Dr. Moravenov said in his welcome speech. The Rector Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov emphasized the role of the university and the sustainability of the initiative: “It is an honor for the University of National and World Economy to host such a national initiative. Supporting young people in their professional development is our strategic priority. I believe that this competition will become a tradition. Invest in yourself - this is the safest investment.” Vice-Rector - Rector Prof. Dr. Tsvetana Stoyanova emphasized the importance of practical orientation and partnership between the academic community and the financial sector: "The competition is a valuable opportunity for students to apply their knowledge in a real context and to develop skills that are key to their professional realization. The partnership between the university and the institutions of the capital market is an important step towards a stronger connection between education and practice." The winners also received prizes, respectively for first place - 1,000 euros, for second place - 300 euros and for third place - 200 euros.
