| If in the next several months Bulgaria does not choose, which project is more profitable (Burgas-Alexandrupolis or Burgas-Vliora), our country won’t execute its dream to be a part of the world petrol puzzle. The common thing between the two projects for the time being is the lack of guarantees for the quantities of petrol that will be necessary for the pipes. Bulgaria has not still selected its companies that will take part in the project. The candidates for Bulgarian consortiums are 10. Two companies for the biggest share – LUKoil-Bulgaria and Minstroy. The rival between them started in the time of the former Government. Then the Governors promised 68 per cent to LUKoil Bulgaria, Minstroy had to take 20 per cent, Glavbolgarstroy and Gazstroymontaj – 5 per cent each and Chimkomplekt – 2 per cent. | The Austrian chain of hypermarkets Billa will open over this year 5 new objects and will invest over EUR 20 million, announced the Financial Director of Billa Bulgaria Ms. Evdokia Todorova. According to her the strategy of the company is to build 4-5 objects per year that will be situated in towns with a population over 80 000 people. Another two objects will be opened in Sofia, one of which in the district of Lujlin. Billa also intends to open its first hypermarkets in Varna and Pleven during this year. | Full thorough examinations of trucks will be performed at Border Checkpoint Kulata in 8 months. In this term, the construction of a new customs terminal and storage at the checkpoint will be finished. Currently, an average of 700-800 trucks a day and 40 000 cars a month pass through Kulata. The construction is financed under a project of the World Bank to the total value of EUR 13 million. | Minstroy owes over BGN 23 million to 35 construction companies from Varna and Dobrich. The debts of the company, which is a part of the structure of MG corporation, to the local entrepreneurs date several years ago. During this period the companies have worked on objects of Minstroy, but they have not received the bigger part of their payment. The entrepreneurs have tried almost all kinds of actions to collect their fees. | As of the summer of 2004, the vacation club Riviera will have a new hotel part, in which between BGN 10 million and BGN 11 million will be invested, Ms. Ludmila Nenkova – Executive Director of the company announced. According to her, the new hotel section will be a part of the five-star hotel Riviera Beach. It will be five-star and will have 250 beds, situated in rooms and apartments.
