Bulgaria is fighting for equal participation with Greece and Russia in the construction of the petrol pipe Bourgas-Alexandrupolis in order to have a voting right for the decisions for the activity of the company, announced Mr. Minko Gerdjikov who represents the Bulgarian companies which want to participate. Bulgaria demands the three countries to have 25 per cent as the rest of the shares will be distributed among the private companies, which will finance the project. At the start of the project few years ago Bulgaria had 5 per cent in the joint company but through several negotiations it was raised up to 20 per cent.

The Bulgarian participation in the joint company, which will construct the oil pipe Bourgas-Alexandrupolisis, will be 20 per cent. Representatives of Bulgaria, Greece and Russia concluded in Moscow a memorandum for political agreement. The share of the Russian companies is the biggest - 41 per cent, Greece participates with 39 per cent. At the meeting was accepted a technical-economic expertise, which was made by ELF company. According to the experts the construction of the pipe is a profitable investment.

The consortium Pleven 2001 is included in the construction of the new housing complex in Moscow with two 6-floor blocks of apartments. The consortium unites 12 companies, among which is Glavbolgarstroy. The value of the objects is nearly USD 2.5 million, announced the Deputy Mayor of Pleven Mr. Krasimir Makedonski. 7 companies will distribute among them the Bulgarian share in the company Transbalkan for construction and exploitation of the oil pipe Burgas - Alexandrupolis, announced the Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Construction Mr. Hasan Hasan. Over the next week the companies defined to take part in the project from Bulgarian side will gather to specify the exact amount of their shares. Mr. Hasan announced the companies that will hold 33 per cent are LUKoil - Bulgaria, Minstroy-holding, Glavbolgarstroy, Gasstroymontaj, Montaji, Chief Direction Construction and reconstruction and Overgas.

Glavbolgarstroy is selected for one of the sub-contractors of the project of the Swedish company IKEA for construction of trade objects in Russia together with the German company Hochfeit. Bulgarian company will build only one store in Moscow, announced the President of Glavbolgarstroy Mr. Simeon Peshov. Recently IKEA reported that the company also would start a manufacture in Russia and the first plant will be near Sankt Peterbourg. The plant will cost USD 15 million and in which will work 250 workers.

The Directors of Glavbolgarstroy JSC Mr. Simeon Peshov and Mr. Evgeni Marinov stated that the construction of the petrol pipe Bourgas - Alexandrupolis was a serious investment and intergovernmental project. Since it is expected to be concluded an agreement between Bulgaria, Greece and Russia, it is important to be specified the Bulgarian share in the project. Minstroy holding, property of MG corporation intends to get the biggest share in the newly established Bulgarian consortium for the construction of the oil-pipeline Bourgas-Alexandrupolis. On Friday at the office of Minstroy was conducted a meeting of the Bulgarian companies, which intend to participate in the project. According to the preliminary information in the Transbalkan pipeline-Bulgaria consortium participate Glavbolgarstroy, Gazstroymontaj, Lukoil Bulgaria, Minstroy and Tehnoexportstroy.

LUKoil-Bulgaria began an open dispute with Minstroy holding, a subsidiary of MG corporation because of distribution of the shares in the consortium for construction of the petrol pipe Bourgas - Alexandrupolis. Minstroy tries to arrange secretly a construction consortium instead of investment, was reported from LUKoil-Bulgaria. The companies Gazstroymontaj, Glavbolgarstroy and Technoexportstroy were iinvited to discuss the distribution of the shares in the partnership but there was not any representative of LUKoil-Bulgaria. At this meeting became clear that Minstroy will hold 68 per cent in the consortium.

The applicants for the water concession of Varna and Shoumen are five, announced yesterday the Director of Public Utilities Department at the Ministry of Regional Development Mr. Grigor Vasilev. The companies are VIVENDI, International Water, Thames Water, Ondeo and a consortium of Glavbolgarstroy and Bai Water. In VIVENDI Partners are the Frencho company Generale des Eaux and the German Berlinwaser. The British United Utilities and the American Behtel Group and the main participants in International Water. Glavbolgarstroy will build a tiny town in the Turkish town Adapazar for those people who were harmed by the earthquake in 2000 for over USD 8 million, announced the Executive Director of the company Mr. Evgeni Marinov. In October 2001 Bulgarian construction company won the auction for the construction, financed by European investment bank. The object has to be finished by the end of 2002. Glavbolgarstroy will work with the Turkish company Osiapi and the engineers of the object have to be Bulgarians.

Only the permission of the Ministry for Regional Development and Public Utilities is needed in order to be closed the uranium mine in Barutin village and to be liquidated the radioactive spots in the region EUR 14 million have been already granted on the PHARE programme for the ecological closing of the uranium mines in Eleshnitza and Barutin villages. Executor of the construction works is a German company, and sub-contractor is Glavbolgarstrroy.

Another interesting offer is this of Bulgarian-Austrian Consortium "Podkova - Makaza - Alpine", with a price of EUR 25 169 172. The consortium includes except the Austrian Alpine and the Bulgarian companies Minstroy Holding, Mosstroy, Patstroy-92 and Patishta. Glavbolgarstroy holding in a consortium with the Turkish construction company Yozapu will build a residential complex Jamile 2 at the amount of about EUR 9 million near the Turkish town Adapazaru on the project TERRA (Turkey Earthquake Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Assistance Project) between the Turkish Government and European Investment Bank. With it is financed the restoration of the residential fund and the infrastructure of the most affected by the earthquake from 1999 people. Turkey will give EUR 150 million for this construction.

The offers of the applicants for the construction of the tracks in Sofia Airport will be opened today at 15 o'clock, announced the Director of Reconstruction and Development Department of the Airport Mr. Vladimir Jekov. It is expected that offers have applied several consortiums - the German concern Hohtif together with Glavbulgarstroy, the Austrian Strabag, the Korean Hyundai, the Italian SSS Salini Kosrutori. One of the requirements to the applicants was to have an annual turnover in amount of at least USD 60 million.

The newest holiday village at the South Black Sea-side - Paradise Beach will be officially opened on July 27, 2002. The complex is situated next to St. Vlas, between the resorts Sunny Beach and Elenite. The first tourists, lead by the German tour-operator TUI arrived in Paradise Beach on Wednesday. The luxury holiday village has a capacity of 800 tourists. The investment for the construction of the holiday village was in amount of BGN 30 million, was reported from TUI.

Within the end of the deadline offers applied the consortium between Transstroy Varna and Eskana company, called Transstroy plus, Glavbolgarstroy, Geotechmin together with Water construction - Silistra and GPI consortium, including Gasstroymontaj, Lindner Iis ansd Stroyengineering- Stara Zagora. The lowest price was offered by GPI consortium - EUR 1 834 865. The offer of Tansstroy plus was EUR 1 838 361 and of Geotechmin - EUR 2 090 713.

Four companies applied offers for the construction of the new passengers terminal of Sofia Airport within the deadline, which expired yesterday. The German company Starbak offered the lowest price. Its offer is at a value of EUR 110 608 319,35 as the company gave a discount of 1.5 per cent of the price. The rest f the applicants have offered prices of among EUR 122.8 and EUR 150.8. The applicants are Sofia Airport Construction Group, the consortium between the German Hohtif and the Bulgarian Glavbolgarstroy and the Slovakian company SCT.

European Investment Bank approved the builders of two road sections with a total length of 110 km on a line of Transit roads 3 programme, was reported from the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works. The amount of the two objects is for about USD 11.975 million. For 15 months Glavbolgarstroy and Putni stroeji-Burgas have to finish the works respectively on the sections Pleven-Biala and in the sections Burgas-Sozopol-Tzarevo.

Gazprom appointed to Glavbolgarstroy the construction of object at a value of USD 51 million during the next two years, announced the Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Kostadin Paskalev. Mr. Paskalev was the leader of the business delegation at the visit of the President Mr. Purvanov in Moscow, during which the President had a meeting with the Director of Gazprom Mr. Alexey Miler. Bulgarian companies, headed by LUKoil-Bulgaria, may create a new consortium - paralel to this that will be established by the Ministry of Regional Development and Construction for the petrolpipe Burgas-Alexandrupolis. This will happen if in the consortium take part only Minstroy holding, Gazstroymontaj, Technoexportstroy and Glavbolgarstroy. The companies must have a financial ability to provide investment capital, respective to their per centage share in the project in the frame of Bulgarian participation that is equal to EUR 227 million. Other important requirement is to present bank guarantees. According to the experts this means that only Minstroy holding will be able to provide the financing and to get the biggest share in the Bulgarian consortium.

He will inform the representatives of the companies which of them satisfy the requirements for participation in the project. The report of the special commission had to be prepared by Friday. Mr. Hasan refused to announced which of the companies were approved. It is expected that on Wednesday the companies will announce their pretensions for participation in the future consortium. The branch of Glavbolgarstroy in Varna bought the state-owned 38 per cent from the capital of the local company Yavor, announced the Executive Director of Stroyinvest holding Mr. Stoycho Simov. Stroyinvest is the other major shareholder in the company with 34 per cent of the capital. The state-owned shares were sold on the stock-exchange and these were the first deals at which the payment is executed through Compesatory Vouchers. The price at which the construction company acquired the 38 per cent is between BGN 5 and BGN 6.50 in Compesatory Vouchers per each.
