| Bulgarian insurance company Euroins increased its capital to BGN 12.5 million from BGN 10 million after majority shareholder Euroins Insurance Group subscribed proportionate to its holding. The insurer issued 2.5 million new shares tagged BGN 4 each of which EIG acquired some 70% helping the company make at least BGN 7 million. | Euroins Insurance Group (EIG) acquired 90% of the capital of Turkish general insurance company Inter Sigorta for EUR 427,000, the company announced. EIG will invest over EUR 10 million in the next two years by increasing the capital. EIG is the owner of Euroins AD and has shares in insurers in Romania and Macedonia. | The Association of Bulgarian Insurers and 14 insurance companies have to pay BGN 2.47 million, is the verdict of the Supreme Administrative Court. | Euroins JSC reported a loss to the amount of BGN 435 thousand for the second quarter of 2009, compared to BGN 225 thousand profit for the same period of 2008. The loss for Q1 was BGN 441 thousand, and so the total loss since the beginning of the year is BGN 876 thousand. | Board of Directors of BSE has decided to remove Euroins, Industrial Capital Holding, Moststroy and Fazerles from the BG TR30. In their place will be added Agro Finance REIT, Advance Equity Holding, Devin and Real Estate Fund Bulgaria. The change will take place on 23 September. BGTR30 index is based on the price of the shares in the index with equal weight to each of the participating emissions. | After the blue chips on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange hit bottom in Jan-Mar, they recovered in the following months and stepped up growth in the third quarter. M+S Hydraulic led the march, jumping 80.24% in Jul-Sep. In the second quarter of the year the machine builder appreciated 23.33%. | An increased number of buyers on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) made the BGREIT index jump 2.59% to 47.89 points. The property funds that surged the most were Exclusive Property REIT and BenchMark Fund Estates. Their capitalisation went up 9.62% and 5.49% respectively. With a 5.26-percent rise ELARG Agricultural Land Opportunity Fund REIT ranked third and turned out the most profitable blue chip. The Sofix index gained 0.45% to 444.50 points. The broad BG40 of the most traded stocks and BGTR30 of the best performers in total return both went up 0.26% to 121.47 points and 339.15 points. A total of 48% of the traded companies closed with a rise and 40% with a drop. Investors were most interested in the shares of financial companies. | The indexes of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) started the week with a rise. The blue-chip Sofix went up 2.30% to 422.07 points. BGTR30 of the best performers in total return jumped to 328.13 points, up 2.24%. BG40 of the most traded stocks added 1.87% to its value, reaching 118.05 points. BGREIT appreciated 1.72% to 46.67 points. Total turnover was BGN 2.76 million. The biggest volume sold was Svilosa's stock, 426,305 pieces, at BGN 0.70 each. Svilosa's share price was 42.92% higher at close of session than at opening. On the OTC market, leader in trade was Euroins with 198,900 pieces sold.
