On April 28, 1998 was held a joint press conference of Bulgarian Association of Licensed Investment Intermediaries (BALII) and SFB Capital Market JSC for the creation of an organized OTC-market in Bulgaria. Bulgarian Association of Licensed Investment Intermediaries (BALII) is a company, which has 23 members - investment intermediaries, licensed by Securities and Stock Exchanges Commission (SSEC). Main goal of the Association is to support the development of capital market in Bulgaria. SFB Capital Market JSC is a successor of Sofia Stock Exchange - one of the first securities markets in Bulgaria. Actuated by its will to take part in the creation and regulation of an organized OTC-market in Bulgaria, the members of BALII found an effective solution to achieve this goal by acquiring major pack of the shares of SFB Capital Market JSC. The Board of Directors of SFB Capital Market JSC adopted a Conception for creation of an organized OTC-market in Bulgaria. This Conception should have an affect on Trade Regulations. In the preparation of these Regulations will also take part representatives of commercial banks, registered by SSEC as investment intermediaries. In accordance with Bulgarian legislation, we consider the organized OTC-market to be a natural complement of the stock exchange. In order to be achieved a consolidation of Bulgarian capital market, we agree with joint actions with Bulgarian Stock Exchange and the other capital market participants. The organized OTC-market will create conditions for greater transparency of the market, information for the ultimate investor, irrevocability of the concluded deals - obligatory conditions for greater trust of the investors in the capital market and its participants.
