Average 2 100 tons of ammonia saltpeter a day produces Neochim-Dimitrovgrad. This is 25-30 per cent less than the consumer's demand for the last two months. Nevertheless that two thirds of the production is destined to the domestic market the orders are delayed with about ten days each. 250 000 tons of ammonia saltpeter are necessary for the domestic market, 200 000 of which for February and March. It is not possible together with Agropolichim Neochim to produce such an enormous quantity. By the end of last year two thirds of the production was destined to the foreign market due to the lack of orders from the from the domestic market. If the state fund Agriculture has credited the agricultural producers 2 or 3 months before the beginning of the active season there would not have been a lack of nitrate fertilizers. Yet in October last year Neochim offered to distributors and experts special contracts so that the clients could order and pay in advance the quantity of fertilizers they needed. The received orders only for about 4000 tons. Totally 450 000 tons saltpeter for more than BGN 120 million were produced in Neochim during 2000. For the first time during the last few years the fertilizers factory reports a profit of BGN 4.2 million.

The Dimitrovgrad-based chemical plant Neochim offered a new scheme for sales of its main product - ammonium nitrate in the beginning of the new fertilizer season. The plant is going to concentrate the selling rights on the domestic market in the hands of its trade representative Euro Fert JSC. As of September 1, Euro Fert reduced threefold the number of its distributors and is currently working with 20 companies. The company's Management explained that these measures were undertaken due to the fact that until now people buying small quantities of ammonium nitrate benefited from buying preferences. " We have selected Neochim's biggest clients, which possess their own depots", stated Euro Fert's Trade Manager Mr. Mitko Zhekov. The reduction of the distributor's network is made for the purpose of concentrating the sales of ammonium nitrate. The owners of the plant are expecting to restrict the re-selling of ammonium nitrate and the speculative raising of its price. According to the new working method, the distributors will offer ammonium nitrate in 4 regions - northeastern, southeastern, northwestern and southwestern. The prices of ammonium nitrate will vary from BGN 264 to BGN 260 (VAT excluded) per ton in the different regions. Neochim's trade company offers three different prices to its distributors depending on the time - until the beginning of the fertilizer season, the start of the season and the following period. A small part of the plant's production will be offered directly through commissioners. As of September 1, the combine eliminated the "forwarding contracts" as well, which used to allow the consumers to pay in advance the ammonium nitrate, but to transport it after a few months. This selling method used to lumber the combine's depots.
