"Bulgargas" JSC stopped the delivery of natural gas to "Agrobiochim" JSC because of debts of BGL 41 billion. The total debts of "Agrobiochim" JSC exceed BGL 160 billion.

Over BGL 20 billion were the losses of "Neochim" JSC (Dimitrovgrad) for 1998, was reported at the company's General Meeting. The volume of the plant's production dropped down by 25 per cent and the export dropped down by 58 per cent. BGL 16.825 billion are the damages caused to Neochim JSC by officials in the period 1997 - 1998. This was found out after a revision made by State Financial Supervision. BGL 14 727 billion are damages caused by sale of production under its prime cost. This happened after a decision of the company's Board of Directors to decrease the prices. BGL 1.7 billion are losses from fees and interests on delayed payment of taxes.

The monopoly of Bulgargas JSC will not be terminated till the year of 2006. This is a part of the rehabilitation programme passed by the cabinet, stated the Minister of Finance Mr. Muravey Radev. Till then the company must pay all of its debts as well as execute the programme for restructuring. The companies that do not pay their natural gas deliveries, will not be delivered gas anymore. 22 enterprises owe BGL 500 billion to Bulgargas - among them are Kremikovtzi JSC, Neochim JSC, Agropolychim JSC, Agrobiochim JSC, Chimco JSC.

The working-managing company Neochim-Invest JSC will become an owner of Neochim JSC - Dimitrovgrad. This was reported from the Manger of Arthur Andersen Bulgaria Ltd. Mr. James Bulet-Mundy. Arthur Andersen Bulgaria is an adviser of PA for the following privatization deals: Neochim JSC, Sviloza JSC, Neftochim JSC and Petrol JSC. Neochim JSC is the only company from the four producers of cement in Bulgaria, which still is not privatized.
