The Council of Ministers allowed the privatisation of shares of the following state-owned enterprises: 75 per cent of "Agrobiochim" JSC (Stara Zagora), "Neochim" JSC (Dimitrovgrad), Interhotel "Trimonzium" and the resort "Rusalka", as well as of 50 per cent of the shares of "Novoselska Gumza" JSC (Vidin). It was approved the suggestion of the Ministry of Industry for an opening of a procedure for the privatisation of the following enterprises: 20 per cent of the shares of "Pobeda-TV" JSC (Tvurditza) and 25 per cent of the shares of "Buk Gurkovo" JSC (Gurkovo), as well as of 33 per cent of the shares of "Stomaneni Trubi" JSC (Septemvri), "Dobrudzhanski Textil" JSC (Dobrich), "Moststroy" JSC (Sofia), "Modul" JSC (Byala), "Lutch" JSC (Strazhitza), "3MM-Pobeda" JSC (Sliven) and "Fintex".

The Privatisation Agency opened procedures for the privatisation of 75 per cent of the shares of the following state-owned companies: "Interhotel Trimonzium" JSC (Plovdiv), "Neochim" JSC (Dimitrovgrad) and "Agrobiochim" JSC (Stara Zagora).

The General Meeting of the shareholders of "Neochim" JSC (Dimitrovgrad) elected a new Board of Directors with a Chairman Mrs. Victoria Tzenova from the Ministry of Industry. Mr. Dimitar Dimitrov a Director of Supplying was elected company's Executive Director. Mrs. Tanya Kevanlashka e legal adviser of the Deputy-Prime Minister and Mr. Dimo Lapanov an adviser of the Municipal Director was also included in the Board of Directors. The assessment of the enterprises part that was not offered for Mass privatization is in the amount of USD 100 million, according preliminary data. The chemical plant ended the previous year with a profit in the amount of BGL 1.870 billion.

The plant "Chimik", a department of "Neochim" JSC (Dimitrovgrad) signed a contract with the American company "Union Carbyte Corporation" for suply of polythene oxide.
