Biovet will invest EUR 2 million in new capacities Producers of vet products Biovet will invest EUR 2 million in new capacities with which it will enrich the products it offers. Construction will begin right after permission is granted by regional environmental inspection and will last eight months. Together with investment in Peshteras production, 20 new people will be employed. Two new facilities for pelleting of feed additives and pharmaceutical products will be installed in the factory as well. Each of them will have a capacity of 5000 tons of products each year. More than 90% of Biovets products are exported abroad. Nearly half of its products are sold in the EU, while 22% in South American countries. Almost 9% of the exported products is destined to North America, while that for Asia is 6%. The remaining volumes are realized in Central and Eastern Europe and other regions. While the bulk of the production is veterinary drugs, Biovet have already developed humane supplements as well, such as probiotics and steroids. Except in Peshtera the company has a plant in Razgrad.

Biovet intends to build two new pelletizing plants and to make changes to the operations of the enterprise, aimed at reducing the environmental impact. According to information published by Biovet, new equipment for granulation of feed additives and pharmaceutical products will have a capacity of 5,000 tons per year. Installations will be part of the structure of Unified Production Corpus 5 and are located in the main site of the enterprise as they will perform several basic processes - mixing, granulating, drying, screening and cutting. Each of the facilities will be provided with a releasing device of dust emissions into the atmosphere with a flow rate of 8000 m3/h. Purification of waste gases will be carried out by a bag filter.

Huvepharma wants to buy Turkish company for veterinary products Pharmaceutical company Huvepharma has made a request for purchase of a Turkish factory under the name of ANC Animal Nutrition Center. It manufactures and trades with detergents for the veterinary medicine. The offer is for purchase of 100% of the Turkish company that has the same business activities as another part of Huvepharms group-Biovet. The price of the deal is not disclosed. ANC is founded in 2004 and manufactures products for breeding of birds, cattle and fish. It has stores via which its goods are sold in Turkey, as well. ANCs owner is pointed as Huvepharms distributor for Turkey, too. The company has been distributor of the Peshtera-based factory for 8-10 years. Plans of the Bulgarian company are to expand the business through registration of new products in Turkey.

Sofia bourse to replace Zarneni Hrani with Holding Nov Vek in blue-chip index Bulgarian investment company Holding Nov Vek will replace agribusiness company Zarneni Hrani Bulgaria in the blue-chip SOFIX index, the operator of the Sofia bourse said. Holding Nov Vek will become a SOFIX component as of March 23, the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) said in a statement on Tuesday. The SOFIX index tracks the 15 most liquid shares on the BSE. Also starting March 23, cellulose producer Svilosa, fertilizer producer Neochim, Energo-Pro Sales, car battery manufacturer Elhim Iskra, and FairPlay Properties REIT will be removed from the BGBX 40 index and will be replaced by machine engineering company Hydraulic Elements and Systems, cable maker EMKA, Fund Estates REIT, hardboard maker Fazerles, and Holding Varna. BGBX 40 includes the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse.

Zlaten Lev Holding JSC has sold holdings of 1,680 shares, or 60% of Golden Lev Brokers LTD. The sale is conducted at a price of BGN 148.21 per share, or a total of BGN 248 992.80. The public company allot BGN 0.64 gross dividend per share (a net of BGN 0.61 to individual shareholders) in 2014. Zlaten Lev Holdings profit was year was formed mainly from sale of assets. The holding company sold 2.08% of Biovets capital for BGN 1.74 million and 595 560 shares that represent 94.63% of the capital of Carat Electronics JSC to a company called AQ Group AB in August at a price of BGN 5.1888 per share.

Biovet will make electricity from biomass Biovet plans to construct a new facility for production of electricity from waste. The company that is owned by Huvepharma is a leading producer of forage supplements, substances and drugs for treatment of animals. Biovet produces substances for human Medicine and enzymes. Besides the factory in Razgrad, Biovet operates in Peshtera and Botevgrad. It has production facility in Macedonia, too. At present the new installation is being designed in the plant. It will utilize waste from production process, such as auxiliary materials and biomass that remains after extraction of substances. Till now waste was transported to a depot, for which the company is responsible. The new facility is expected to start operation till the mids of 2016. More than 90% of Biovets production is exported, while the company covers about 30% of the nedds on the local market.

Bulgaria's Atomenergoremont files to list on Sofia bourse Bulgarian equipment maintenance and repair services company Atomenergoremont filed on Tuesday a listing application with the Sofia stock exchange, bourse data showed. Atomenergoremont plans to offer investors 15,344,140 shares with a nominal value of BGN 1, the company's listing prospectus, filed with the Sofia bourse indicated. The prospectus has already been approved by the financial supervision commission. Atomenergoremont's total own capital amounted to BGN 57 million by the end of June. The company is majority-owned by local supplier and installer of architectural roofing and wall cladding systems Bultrade Corporation.
