The test laboratory for vine-growing in the town of Septemvri uses the waste from the production of Biovet - Peshtera as a fertilizer for rooting. Biovet is a candidate for author certificate before the Patent administration. The pharmaceutical company financed the project with BGN 5000.

8 companies will be included in PA's cash privatization list. These are BTC SPJSC, Bulgartabac Holding JSC, Chernomorski Solnitzi SPJSC, Energoremont - Galabovo JSC, Biovet - Peshtera JSC, Energoremont - Sofia JSC, Geosol SPJSC - Provadia, Zavod za Dobiv na Varovik SPJSC. In 1999 were privatized long-term tangible assets of BGN 84 million.

On March 14th, 2000 PA signed a contract with the potential buyer of Biovet JSC - Peshtera - Bulgarian pharmaceutical Company JSC. So far the deal has not been approved by PA's Supervisory Board.

The Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Peter Zhotev has to take Zlatni Piasatzi deal in the Supervisory Board of the agency or it may be contested, stated its Director Mr. Assen Dulgerov. Zhotev began negotiations for the resort with the chosen for the buyer MEBO Zlatni that is in consortium with Neckerman and Agreda.

The Supervisory Board of the PA approved the purchase of 54 per cent of Biovet JSC - Peshtera of Bulgarian pharmaceutical company JSC for USD 10 639 000. The contract will be signed next week, reported the Chairman of the Supervisory Board Mr. Assen Dulgerov. 30 per cent of the price has to be paid cash in the day of the sign of the agreement and the rest 70 per cent in a period of 45 days. The buyer has an obligation to invest for 5 years USD 10 030 000. For the same period the work-places must be kept. For the purchase BPC receives a credit of USD 9 700 000 from Bulbank JSC. As a guarantee the main shareholder in BPC - Napreduk Holding pledged its shares that possesses from the mass privatization in Biovet (5 - 6 per cent).

Biovet is one of the profitable Bulgarian companies - it does not have debts, exports the bigger part of the production, ends every year with a profit. The buyer of the company, Bulgarian pharmaceutical company JSC, is registered in the end of the last year. Its major owner is the former privatization fund Napredak holding and the rest 19 per cent of the capital are property of Mr. Petko Neijkov.

The General Meeting of Biovet JSC decided to turn in a two-tier form of management. Mr. Kiril Domusschiev is the Chairman of the Supervisory Board and Mr. Ivan Batakliev - the Executive Director of the Board of Directors. There were voted changes in the statute of the company as the bigger part of the decisions will be taken with 51 per cent of the capital, not with 67 per cent as has been so far. It was decided not to be paid a dividend and the whole profit in amount of BGN 7 million to be used for capitalization of the company.

MPs from Shoumen region took funds from the Turkish company Pafmetal for Alumina-Shoumen, declared Mr. Vladimir Karolev at a discussion. According to Mr. Karolev the Director of PA Mr. Zahari Zheliazkov sold the resort Elenite to his friends and Biovet to Domuschievi Brothers instead of the Italian company Sintofarm. According to the participants in the discussion the privatization in the State is not effective. For the last 2 years Bulgaria expected to receive USD 4 billion but not more than USD 1 billion were the incomes from the privatization.

PA prolonged by December 20 the deadline for submitting the offers for sale of 51 per cent from the capital of Intertravelservice JSC - Sofia. Totally 6 companies bought information memoranda for participation in the auction, was specified from PA. These are Balkantourist JSC, Dimex Corporation JSC, Biovet JSC, Trade centre JSC, Roumiana Stoycheva SP and Transstroy-M SP Ltd. The company will be privatized through negotiations with a potential buyer. The decision for privatization of the company was opened by PA on October 12, 1998. The activity of Intertravelservices JSC, Sofia is hotel and restaurant keeping, transport services and international tourism. Its capital is 310 624 000 non-denominated levs. 25 per cent from the company are privatized through the mass privatization.
